Cutting into Time

Life has a funny way of doing things sometimes. Just when everything was starting back up, nearly the entire house got sick. This brought us to another halt for over a week. Thankfully it is all over, we are back in the shop, and I managed to avoid the sickness, helping take care of things around the house.

Now that we are back to smithing, we decided to do another quick and practical piece. One that dates back to the first tools, a good old-fashioned axe. This one could genuinely be used for combat or work.

It chopped very effectively for a fairly thin blade.

This might be the simplest build we have done yet, which is why there were not many pictures. The axe head was a piece of unused metal from another project, welded onto a cut pipe, and fixed onto a broom handle. It took us maybe 20 minutes.

Stick around, because tomorrow there is something really fun coming!
